Assessment
Ongoing assessment, both formal and informal, plays an important role in the Flying Start to Literacy: Phonics program.
Data collected via assessment can inform further instruction for individuals or groups of students. This intervention can be done in small groups or one-on-one with the teacher.

Module Assessments
A comprehensive Module Assessment can be used to place a student in the program or at the end of a module to assess the student’s readiness to move to the next module in the program.
- Module Assessments are administered individually to students and provide evidence of any content from that module that needs further instruction and consolidation.
- Detailed results for each student are recorded on the Student Assessment Summary.
